This men's horsehide leather helmet bag is made in Japan by TOYS McCOY. Based on the design of a classic U.S. Air Force helmet bag, it preserves the recognizable square silhouette, two front pockets with covering flaps, and leather carrying handles while adapting the construction and proportions for everyday use. Horsehide replaces the nylon shell of the original military design, giving the bag a substantial leather texture with natural grain, creases, and a sheen that changes with use.
A padded, quilted nylon ripstop lining, layered cotton interior pockets, two bottle holders, and a detachable, adjustable horsehide shoulder strap bring together the bag's storage and carrying features. The combination of military-inspired details and the distinctive character of horsehide works naturally with contemporary casual clothing and motorcycle-inspired outfits. The bag can be carried by hand, over the shoulder, or across the body. Please note that this resized model is intended for everyday belongings and cannot accommodate an actual helmet.

U.S. Air Force Helmet Bag Design Adapted for Everyday Use
The design takes its main features from the classic U.S. Air Force helmet bag: a broad, square-shaped body, two raised front pockets positioned side by side beneath flaps, and carrying handles attached at the top. TOYS McCOY retains this recognizable arrangement while replacing the original nylon shell with horsehide and resizing the bag for daily use.
The result combines the utilitarian appearance of a military bag with the weight, texture, and changing surface character of leather. A detachable shoulder strap expands the carrying options beyond the top handles, allowing the bag to be used as either a hand-carried bag or a shoulder and crossbody bag. This is an everyday adaptation of the helmet bag design; its dimensions are not suitable for storing an actual helmet.
Horsehide Shell with Natural Grain, Creases, and Surface Variation
The outer shell is made from horsehide, a leather that combines a firm, compact feel with supple flexibility. The horsehide used here retains pronounced grain and natural creasing, giving the surface an irregular texture rather than a uniformly smooth appearance.
Fine grain, longer linear creases, and subtle rises and depressions are visible across the leather. バッグ本体は、前後に広い面を持たせたスクエア型のフォルムで、左右側面にはマチを設けていないため、全体的に平面的な形状です。側面にマチを設けたバッグとは異なり、書類や薄手の衣類など、比較的平らなものをすっきりと収納しやすいつくりです。底部は角張った箱型ではなく、緩やかな丸みがあり、革の分量にもゆとりを持たせた構造です。収納物を入れると、底部が自然に広がり、革が収納物の形に沿ってふくらむことで、両サイドにマチのない構造ながらも、収納物に応じた奥行きが生まれます。

メイン収納部の内側には、3つの収納区画を備えたコットン生地のオープンポケットが設けられています。この内ポケットは、2区画に仕切られたポケットに、1区画のポケットを重ねた二層構造です。内ポケット口や縁にはレザーによる縁取りが施され、開口部を補強するとともに、内装のアクセントにもなっています。さらに、メイン収納部の両サイドには、リップストップナイロン生地を使用したボトル用ホルダーが1つずつ設けられ、ペットボトルなどをほかの荷物と分けて収納できます。メイン収納部に加え、これらの内ポケットとボトル用ホルダーを備えることで、日常の携行品を用途に応じて整理できる収納仕様になっています。

Based on the design of a classic U.S. Air Force helmet bag, it preserves the recognizable square silhouette, two front pockets with covering flaps, and leather carrying handles while adapting the construction and proportions for everyday use. Horsehide replaces the nylon shell of the original military design, giving the bag a substantial leather texture with natural grain, creases, and a sheen that changes with use.
A padded, quilted nylon ripstop lining, layered cotton interior pockets, two bottle holders, and a detachable, adjustable horsehide shoulder strap bring together the bag's storage and carrying features. TOYS McCOY retains this recognizable arrangement while replacing the original nylon shell with horsehide and resizing the bag for daily use.
The result combines the utilitarian appearance of a military bag with the weight, texture, and changing surface character of leather. A detachable shoulder strap expands the carrying options beyond the top handles, allowing the bag to be used as either a hand-carried bag or a shoulder and crossbody bag. This is an everyday adaptation of the helmet bag design; its dimensions are not suitable for storing an actual helmet.
